Fallon Wellness Pharmacy offers two unique services, functional medicine and compounded medications, which both focus on each patient’s individuality.

Functional medicine is personalized medicine that deals with primary prevention and underlying causes instead of symptoms for serious chronic disease. Functional medicine is an evolution in the practice of medicine that better addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century. By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of medical practice to a more patient-centered approach, functional medicine addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. Practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, functional medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual. Our pharmacy employs three pharmacists and two nutritionists who are First Line Therapy and IFM trained in functional medicine wellness consultations that utilize therapeutic life style changes, natural remedies, nutritional supplements, and medical foods. Some examples of the practitioner prescribed products are Metagenics, Integrative Therapeutics, Thorne, Xymogen, Innate, Pure Encapsulations, Klaire, Nordic Naturals, Allergy Research, Vital Nutrients, Neurosciences and Fallon Wellness Formula. Other wellness product lines include Carlson, Dr.Hauschka, Standard Homeopathic, Bach Flower Essence, Barlean, PhytoPharmica and others.

Our pharmacists are PCCA trained in prescription compounding which involves formulating and preparing medications from USP/NF approved drugs or chemicals upon presentation of a prescription from a patient written by a licensed health care practitioner. We provide a wide assortment of compounded medications to treat many medical conditions that have generally been overlooked by commercially available sources, and provide a unique solution for the patient’s needs which would otherwise remain unmet. Examples of these prescriptions include hormone therapy; medications for autism; topical pain relief utilizing transdermal PLO gels; gluten-free, preservative-free, lactose-free, corn-free, and dye-free medications; pediatric preparations; veterinary prescriptions; and sterile products including ophthalmic (ie; Avastin), inhalation (ie; glutathione), and injectable (ie; methylcobalamin (B-12)) drug products. Our state-of-the-art facility is PCAB accredited and guarantees the highest quality in the preparation of all customized medications. All compounded preparations are tested for potency and accuracy by independent accredited laboratories.

Fallon Wellness Pharmacy is located in Albany, NY and services patients throughout the country. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 6:00pm. Shipping via UPS and US mail are available upon request for an additional fee.
